Who is
Eligible for Tax-by-Mail?
Current Clients: Anyone who is currently a client of ATP Tax Services can take advantage of this great time saver!
First Year Clients: Most new clients can participate in the Tax-by-Mail/Fax program. However, for individuals with income from Rental Property (Schedule E), Farming (Schedule F), or other Self-Employment (Schedule C), we recommend a face-to-face appointment the first year.
All Tax-by-Mail/Fax returns must be RECEIVED by March 31st to be considered for preparation by the April 15th filing deadline*. Extensions can be filed.
* Although we make every effort to complete all received returns prior to the April 15th deadline, due to the need for additional information or other factors, we can not guarantee your return will be completed without an extension. If we will be unable to complete your return by April 15th, you will be notified and an automatic 6-month extension will be filed. NOTE: an extension does not alleviate any late payment interest or penalties. The taxpayer will be responsible for all interest and penalties relating to taxes due on an extended return.
